Escape2 Holiday Parks and Resorts earns TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence
Three properties in the Escape2 Holiday Parks and Resorts group have received 2012 TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence awards.
Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort in New South Wales, Port Arthur Holiday Park in Tasmania and Cairns Holiday Park in Queensland received the awards for consistently achieving outstanding reviews on the popular travel website.
Escape2 Managing Director Steve Billett said he is pleased to receive the awards
“We strive to offer our customers a memorable experience, and this accolade is evidence that our hard work is translating into positive traveller reviews on TripAdvisor.”
All three properties are ranked number one in their TripAdvisor category, with Cairns Holiday Park boasting an average rating of 5 stars. Port Arthur Holiday Park and Murramarang Beachfront Nature Resort are not far behind, with an average rating of 4.5 stars.
Mr Billett said TripAdvisor paints a clear picture of how far the Murramarang property has come in the 18 months since joining the Escape2 group.
“When we purchased the resort in late 20120, its TripAdvisor score was 56.7. Today it scores 90.2,” said Mr Billett.
“This is a significant jump and is a testament to the hard work put in by the resort’s management and team to improve customer satisfaction.”
To qualify for the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, businesses must maintain an overall rating of four or higher, out of a possible five. The volume of reviews received within the last 12 months is also considered. Only approximately 10 per cent of accommodations listed on TripAdvisor receive this prestigious award.
A touch of France comes to Cairns Holiday Park
Cairns Holiday Park will play host to a French student for six weeks as part of her studies in business administration at a southern French college.
Nineteen-year-old Warda Afif will land at the park on 14 May, gaining practical experience under the guidance of park managers Bob Bastian and Roz Barnett.
Mr Bastian said they are excited to welcome Warda into the family. “Warda’s studies are focused specifically on the tourism and leisure industry, and she can expect excellent work experience here at Cairns Holiday Park,” he said.
“We are heading into our busy season, so she will have a lot to see and learn. Warda speaks French, Spanish, English and Arabic, so she will be bringing valuable skills to us as well.”
Cairns Holiday Park was contacted to be involved in the program after Warda targeted it as her ‘employer’ of choice.
Mr Bastian said Warda became aware of the park through staff at James Cook University. After conducting her own research, including TripAdvisor where the park is currently rated number one in its category, Warda
contacted the park directly.
This will be Warda’s first overseas trip and is funded by the school, the French Government and her family.
